Basketball Recap: Godinez Fundamental Takes a Loss

Godinez Fundamental lost against Costa Mesa on January 3rd and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. The Godinez Fundamental Grizzlies received a blow as they fell 80-64 to the Costa Mesa Mustangs. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game last Friday (59), the Grizzlies still had to take the loss.

Godinez Fundamental has been struggling recently as they've lost 11 of their last 13 contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 8-16 record this season. As for Costa Mesa, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six matchups, which provided a massive bump to their 10-14 record this season.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Godinez Fundamental will take on Fullerton at 6:15 p.m. on Friday. Fullerton is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 52.3 points per game this season. Costa Mesa has already played their next game (against Calvary Chapel), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
