Basketball Recap: Center Hill Comes Up Short at Home Against Horn Lake

Center Hill unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-court advantage in their season opener. They lost 42-17 to the Horn Lake Eagles on Tuesday. The Mustangs were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Eagles apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in November of 2024.

Several Mustangs players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Angel Thornton, who posted two points and seven boards.

Center Hill wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 53-35 defeat against Holly Springs on the 7th. As for Horn Lake, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 42-16 victory against Gentry on the 7th.
