The McClintock Chargers are taking a road trip to face off against the Ironwood Eagles at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. McClintock will be strutting in after a win while Ironwood will be coming in after a defeat.
McClintock is headed out in good spirits considering the team just ended their winless streak on the road against Goldwater on Friday. The Chargers managed a 22-16 victory over the Bulldogs.

Fredrick 'CP' Parsons was his usual excellent self, rushing for 201 yards and a pair of touchdowns while picking up 7.4 yards per carry, and also catching one score. With that strong performance, he is now averaging an impressive 113.6 rushing yards per game.
They were just one part of a punishing run game: McClintock was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 232 rushing yards. They are a perfect 3-0 when they've run for more than 200 yards.
Meanwhile, Ironwood was just a hair shy of victory on Friday and fell 28-27 to Paradise Valley. The Eagles gained 122 more yards on the day, but it was the Trojans that made the best use of them.
McClintock will have to contain Khavontae Paul as he made an impact in Ironwood's last game. He rushed for 176 yards and two TDs while picking up 8.4 yards per carry, and also threw for 150 yards and one touchdown. A healthy portion of that aerial production (123 yards to be exact) went to Ramsey Pyne, who also brought in a receiving touchdown.
Ironwood didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off three passes before the game was over. It was truly a group effort as Xadiel (abel) Silva, Gavin Bernal, and Chase Tafoya picked up one apiece. Tafoya has been hot recently, having also posted at least one defended passe the last four times he's played.
The win was their first on the road , bumping their record up to 3-4. As for Ironwood, their loss dropped their record down to 1-6.
Friday's game might be decided on the ground. McClintock has been excellent on the ground this season, having averaged 176.7 rushing yards per game. However, it's not like Ironwood struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 264.9 rushing yards. There's a good chance Friday's contest turns into a tough fight on the ground.
Everything went McClintock's way against Ironwood when the teams last played back in October of 2017, as McClintock made off with a 35-9 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Chargers since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
