Football Preview: McClintock Chargers vs. Ironwood Eagles

The McClintock Chargers are taking a road trip to face off against the Ironwood Eagles at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. McClintock will be strutting in after a win while Ironwood will be coming in after a defeat.

Fredrick 'CP' Parsons was his usual excellent self, rushing for 201 yards and a pair of touchdowns while picking up 7.4 yards per carry, and also catching one score. With that strong performance, he is now averaging an impressive 113.6 rushing yards per game.

Tafoya has been hot recently, having also posted at least one defended passe the last four times he's played.

The win was their first on the road , bumping their record up to 3-4. As for Ironwood, their loss dropped their record down to 1-6.

Friday's game might be decided on the ground. McClintock has been excellent on the ground this season, having averaged 176.7 rushing yards per game. However, it's not like Ironwood struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 264.9 rushing yards. There's a good chance Friday's contest turns into a tough fight on the ground.

Everything went McClintock's way against Ironwood when the teams last played back in October of 2017, as McClintock made off with a 35-9 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Chargers since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
