Baseball Recap: Four Straight Road Victories for Othello

Othello got themselves on the board against Prosser on Tuesday, but Prosser never followed suit. They walked away with a 4-0 victory over the Mustangs. That's the third time they've managed to beat them this season, with their most recent win being a 11-3 victory on Tuesday.

Aiden Garza tossed a big game, not allowing a single earned run and allowed only one hit while striking out seven over five innings pitched.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Rjay Garza, who went 2-for-3 with one triple, one run, and one RBI. That triple was his first of the season.

Othello always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .543. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Prosser only posted an OBP of .267.

Othello's win was their fourth straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 6-1. The road victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.3 runs on average over those games. As for Prosser, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-6.

Coming up, Othello and Grandview will meet in a dog eat dog contest at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. The Greyhounds have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 9.29 runs per game on average), something the Huskies will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Prosser, they will challenge East Valley at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. The Red Devils will roll in looking for their eighth straight win, something the Mustangs surely won't give up without a fight.
