Clayton Valley Charter is 7-0 against Mt. Diablo since January of 2015, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Friday. It may have taken overtime to finish the job, but Clayton Valley Charter ultimately got the result they hoped for on Wednesday. They managed a 72-68 win over Northgate. Having run the score up that high, both teams probably have some extra defensive drills coming up.

Perryman is on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in the last 14 games he's played. Another player making a difference was Chase Robertson, who scored 17 points along with three steals.

Meanwhile, Mt. Diablo's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Wednesday after their fifth straight loss. They took a 56-45 hit to the loss column at the hands of Concord.

Clayton Valley Charter's win bumped their record up to 15-7. As for Mt. Diablo, they dropped their record down to 2-19 with that defeat, which was their seventh straight at home.

Clayton Valley Charter took their victory against Mt. Diablo when the teams last played back in May of 2021 by a conclusive 69-43. Will Clayton Valley Charter repeat their success, or does Mt. Diablo have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
