Basketball Recap: Green Hope Comes Up Short

Green Hope and Leesville Road squared off in some playoff action on Tuesday, but Green Hope had to settle for second. They fell 60-49 to the Leesville Road Pride. The Falcons have been going strong on the season, but this is now their second defeat in a row.

Despite the loss, Green Hope still got an impressive performance from Abigail Brown, who dropped a double-double with 38 points and 13 boards. The game was Brown's tenth in a row with at least 16 points.

Leesville Road's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Molly Zuburg, who posted 12 points along with six assists and five rebounds. Another player making a difference was Chloe Fulk, who scored ten points in addition to eight boards and six assists.

Green Hope's loss dropped their record down to 17-8. As for Leesville Road, they are on a roll lately: they've won 13 of their last 14 matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 19-5 record this season.

Green Hope does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Leesville Road, they will face off against D.H. Conley at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Leesville Road knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past four contests -- so hopefully D.H. Conley likes a good challenge.
