The Roswell Coyotes and the Artesia Bulldogs will meet in a canine-themed contest at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as Roswell comes in on three and Artesia on four.

Roswell is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of New Mexico's top teams: Gadsden, who was ranked 19th in their home state at the time (Roswell was ranked eighth). Roswell claimed a resounding 48-7 victory over Gadsden at home. Considering the Coyotes have won four games by more than 26 points this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Meanwhile, while Artesia put up plenty of points two weeks ago, the same can't be said for Santa Teresa. Artesia simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Santa Teresa 57-0 on the road. The match marked the Bulldogs' most dominant win of the season.

Izac Cazares was his usual excellent self, throwing for 163 yards and four touchdowns on only 11 passes. He has been hot recently, having posted three or more passing touchdowns the last three times he's played. Ethan Conn also helped with two touchdowns in total.

Roswell pushed their record up to 5-1 with the victory, which was their fourth straight at home. As for Artesia, their win bumped their record up to 5-2.
