Vista PEAK Prep has been on the road for two straight, but on Saturday they'll finally head home. They will welcome the Eaglecrest Raptors at 10:00 a.m. Both come into the game bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Last Tuesday, Vista PEAK Prep beat Denver North 9-6.

Nia Mathis was incredible, going 2-for-5 with a home run, three RBI, and two runs. She is also on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as she's now stolen at least one in the last three games she's played. Another player making a difference was Jaya Gray, who went 2-for-4 with two doubles and an RBI.

Meanwhile, Eaglecrest put another one in the bag on Friday to keep their perfect season alive. They blew past Regis Jesuit 11-1. Fans of the Raptors have seen this all before: every one of the games they've played this season has ended in a blowout of 6+ run.

Zaya Elliott made a splash no matter where she played. She pitched four innings while giving up just one earned run off three hits. Elliott was also big at the plate, going 2-for-3 with a double and an RBI.

In other batting news, Briahna Gallegos was incredible, scoring two runs and stealing two bases while going 2-for-4. Those stolen bases were her first of the season. Another player making a difference was Sybella Trevino, who scored two runs while going 2-for-3.

Perhaps unsurprisingly given the score, Eaglecrest was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .519. The last time their batting average was this high was back in September of 2023.

Vista PEAK Prep's win bumped their record up to 3-1. As for Eaglecrest, their victory bumped their record up to 4-0.
