Basketball Recap: Peter Radigan's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Freedom over Chamberlain

If Freedom was riding high fresh off their 72-32 takedown of King last Saturday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Freedom Patriots fell to the Chamberlain Storm 56-50. The Patriots were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Storm apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in January of 2024.

Freedom lost on Tuesday despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Peter Radigan, who went 6 of 12 en route to 15 points and eight rebounds. Radigan is on a roll when it comes to rebounds, as he's now pulled down eight or more in the last 13 games he's played. Another player making a difference was Trey Hill, who posted 11 points.

Freedom has traveled a rocky road recently having lost three of their last four matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-8 record this season. Those losses can't be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 54.5 points per game. As for Chamberlain, their win was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 12-5.

Freedom will venture away from home to take on Sunlake at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Chamberlain, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 57-56 victory against Alonso on the 8th.
