Baseball Recap: Tuesday's Victory Is Glide's Eighth in Last Nine Outings

After losing to Douglas the last time they met, Glide decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The Wildcats put the hurt on the Trojans with a sharp 9-2 victory on Tuesday. Considering the Wildcats have won six matchups by more than five runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

Glide is on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine games. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-4 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.8 runs over those games. As for Douglas, their defeat was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 6-12.

Glide will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Trojans: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 3:00 p.m. on Friday.
