Baseball Recap: Shelton Takes a Loss

Shelton fell victim to Mountain View and their airtight pitching crew on Friday. They fell just short of the Thunder by a score of 1-0. The Highclimbers' defeat continues a trend for the squad, making it three in a row.

Daniel Crossan was a force to be reckoned with on the mound despite the final result: he pitched six innings while giving up just one earned run off six hits. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than one walk in 11 consecutive appearances.

Shelton's record is now 8-13. As for Mountain View, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-12 record this season.

As of now, neither Shelton nor Mountain View have any future games scheduled.
