Volleyball Game Preview: Gibsonburg Golden Bears vs. Fairview Apaches

The Gibsonburg Golden Bears will challenge the Fairview Apaches at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Both come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Gibsonburg proved they can win big on Thursday (they won by three) and on Tuesday they proved they can win the close ones too. They won by a set and slipped past Lakota 3-2.

Gibsonburg had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first two sets, they turned around to win the next three. The match finished with set scores of 18-25, 23-25, 25-21, 25-21, 15-9.

Meanwhile, Fairview had already won six in a row and they went ahead and made it seven on Tuesday. Everything went their way against the Patriots as they made off with a 3-0 victory.

Gibsonburg's win bumped their record up to 16-8. As for Fairview, their victory bumped their record up to 21-3.
