Volleyball Recap: Conestoga Takes a Loss

Conestoga was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They came up short against the Garnet Valley Jaguars, falling 3-0. If the Pioneers were looking for revenge after losing 3-0 to the Jaguars when the teams met back in September of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-12, 25-17, 25-11.

Emory Owens paced Conestoga's offense, picking up six kills. Owens were helped by Audrey D'Ascanio and Julia Iwachiw, who contributed nine assists each. Iwachiw was also solid from the service line: she led the team with four aces.

Conestoga's defeat dropped their record down to 2-11. As for Garnet Valley, the victory (which was their sixth in a row) raised their record to 7-1.

Looking ahead, Conestoga will take on Central Bucks West at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. Garnet Valley has already played their next matchup (against Tower Hill), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
