After losing to Mayde Creek the last time they met, Rudder decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The Rudder Rangers' defense stepped up to hand the Mayde Creek Rams a 2-0 shutout on Saturday. The victory was just business as usual for the Rangers, who after four games remain undefeated this season.

Rudder's win bumped their record up to 4-0. As for Mayde Creek, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-3-3.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Rudder will be defending their home pitch for the first time this season when they go up against Bastrop at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Rudder's defense has only allowed 0.2 goals per game this season, so Bastrop's offense will have their work cut out for them. As for Mayde Creek, they will square off against Jordan at 7:15 p.m. on Wednesday. Jordan's last four contests have been decided by no more than a goal, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.
