While Daleville's win against Muncie Central wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Broncos sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 9-8 victory over the Bearcats on Friday. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last six times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.

Alex Ramirez was a standout: he went 1-for-4 with one home run and three RBI. Those three RBI gave him a new career-high. Bryson Sigler was another key player, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 4-for-5.

Daleville was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .387. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .318 or higher every time they've taken the field this season.

Daleville's record now sits at 3-0. As for Muncie Central, their loss dropped their record down to 0-2.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Daleville will challenge Elwood at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Muncie Central, they will take on Winchester Community at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
