Basketball Recap: Noxapater Gets Big Win over Higher-Ranked Nanih Waiya

Noxapater hadn't done well against Nanih Waiya recently (they were 1-8 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Tuesday. The Noxapater Tigers snuck past the Nanih Waiya Warriors with a 34-30 win. The victory was all the more spectacular given the Tigers' disadvantage in MaxPreps' Mississippi basketball rankings (they are ranked 264th, while the Warriors are ranked 118th).

Noxapater's win bumped their record up to 6-12. As for Nanih Waiya, their defeat dropped their record down to 11-5.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. A feisty cat fight is on tap when the Noxapater Tigers challenge the French Camp Academy Panthers at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Noxapater is facing French Camp Academy at the right time seeing as French Camp Academy is stuck on a six-game losing streak. As for Nanih Waiya, they will face off against McAdams at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
