Ethan Freed was a force to be reckoned with on the mound despite the final result: he struck out six batters over five innings while giving up just two earned runs off five hits. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in seven consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Spring-Ford saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Cooper Nelson, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with one triple and one RBI. That triple marked the first that Nelson has hit this season.

Spring-Ford's loss dropped their record down to 8-7. As for Owen J. Roberts, their victory bumped their record up to 5-9.
