Volleyball Recap: Bear River Bruins vs. Bishop Manogue Miners

Bear River lost against Bishop Manogue back in September of 2015, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Bruins took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Miners.

Eden Cha paced Bear River's offense, picking up eight kills. Cha got some help from Brooke Milligan and her 16 assists. Gabby Sams controlled things from the service line, finishing with three aces.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Bishop Manogue to victory, but perhaps none more so than Eva Knudsen, who had six digs and three aces. Those three aces gave Knudsen a new career-high. Sofia Jaferian was another key player, getting six digs and two aces.

Bear River's loss dropped their record down to 8-2. As for Bishop Manogue, the win keeps them at an undefeated 8-0.

Bear River has already played their next match, a 2-1 defeat against Green Valley on the 30th. As for Bishop Manogue, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 2-0 loss against Woodcreek on the 30th.
