Cathedral entered their tilt with Indianapolis Bishop Chatard on Friday with five consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with six. They blew past the Trojans 11-1. The result was nothing new for the Fighting Irish, who have now won seven matchups by six runs or more so far this season.

Cathedral got a great performance from Landon Hughes as he didn't allow a single earned run over five innings pitched. Hughes has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up a single earned run in three consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Eli Bennett, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with two runs, one triple, and two RBI. Cameron Koers was another key player, going a perfect 2-for-2 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run.

Cathedral was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .522. That's the best batting average they've posted all season.

Cathedral pushed their record up to 13-6 with the win, which was their fourth straight at home. Those home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.3 runs on average over those games. As for Indianapolis Bishop Chatard, they have been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 12-10 record this season.

Meanwhile, Indianapolis Bishop Chatard will challenge Bethesda Christian at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday with a big rank advantage (113 vs. 305).
