There's no place like home for Dixie Heights, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Friday. They skirted past the Ryle Raiders 4-3. This was a revenge game for the Colonels: when they faced off against the Raiders back in April, they had to take a 8-6 defeat.

Kyle Flynn spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered just two earned (and one unearned) runs on six hits and racked up seven Ks. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't tossed less than seven strikeouts in three consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Austin Krohmer, who went 2-for-3 with one run, one double, and one RBI. That's the most hits he has posted since back in April. Owen Caudill was another key player, going 2-for-4 with one double and one RBI.

Dixie Heights' win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 19-18. The home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.3 runs on average over those games. As for Ryle, their loss dropped their record down to 23-11-2.

As of now, neither Dixie Heights nor the Raiders have any future games scheduled.
