Volleyball Recap: Gray Collegiate Academy Gets the Win + How To Watch

Gray Collegiate Academy hadn't done well against South Aiken recently (they were 0-6 in their previous six matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Tuesday. The War Eagles sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 3-2 win over the Thoroughbreds. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the War Eagles have posted since October 15, 2024.

Gray Collegiate Academy took South Aiken into a fifth set where they got it done with a six-point win. The match finished with set scores of 25-22, 25-23, 18-25, 22-25, 15-9.

Among those leading the charge was Colby Branham, who had five digs and three aces. The dominant performance also gave her a new career-high in assists (25).

Branham wasn't the only good server: Gray Collegiate Academy was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 15 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least 11 aces every time they've taken the court this season.

Gray Collegiate Academy's record is now 6-0. As for South Aiken, their defeat was their first in the region, dropping their region record down to 4-1 and their overall record down to 6-6.
