            Volleyball Recap: Carolina Day Wildcats vs. Shining Rock Classical Academy Falcons        
        
		
        
        
            Carolina Day's game  on Monday was a  loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them  on Tuesday. They walked away with  a   3-1  victory over the Shining Rock Classical Academy Falcons. The Wildcats have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Falcons, too.
 Carolina Day was dominant in they sets they won, taking each by at least 11 points. The final score came out to 25-11, 19-25, 25-14,  25-9.
 Wendy Howell paced Carolina Day's offense, picking up 11 kills. Howell got some help from  Madeline Lahepelto and her 26 assists. Lahepelto was also solid from the service line:  she led the team with 11 aces.
Carolina Day's win  ended  a  seven-game drought at home  dating back to last season and  bumped them up to 2-8. As for Shining Rock Classical Academy, their loss was  their seventh straight on the road dating back to last season, which  dropped their record down to 0-8.
 Coincidentally, Carolina Day and Shining Rock Classical Academy will both be playing Asheville School (Independent) the next time they take the court. The Wildcats will head out to face the Blues at 5:30  p.m.  on Thursday, while the Falcons will head out to face them  at 5:00  p.m.  on Friday.
