Basketball Recap: Fellowship Baptist Academy Takes a Loss

Fellowship Baptist Academy lost against Algoma Christian last Tuesday and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Fellowship Baptist Academy Falcons had to suffer through a 74-39 loss at the hands of the Algoma Christian Knights. While losing is never fun, the Falcons can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Michigan basketball rankings (they are ranked 463rd, while the Knights are ranked 191st).

Defeat or not, Fellowship Baptist Academy got some senior leadership from Alexander Rodriguez and Logan McAlvey. Rodriguez went 7 of 12 en route to 20 points, while McAlvey posted 12 points and eight boards. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Rodriguez has scored all season.

Algoma Christian was led to victory by Lucas Bouma and Logan Lockard. Bouma had 16 points in addition to six rebounds and four steals, while Lockard went 7 for 12 on his way to 19 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Rhys Kehoe, who scored nine points and six boards.

Fellowship Baptist Academy's loss dropped their record down to 4-4. As for Algoma Christian, their win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 6-1.

Fellowship Baptist Academy wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 49-42 defeat against Rochester Hills Christian on the 16th. Algoma Christian has also already played their next contest (against Wyoming HomeSchool), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
