Basketball Recap: Foundation Christian Academy Takes a Loss

Foundation Christian Academy came up into this matchup off a tough 34-point defeat last Tuesday. This time they kept things ultra-competitive, but unfortunately the final result was the same. They fell just short of the Universal Academy Falcons by a score of 47-44 on Friday. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest loss the Panthers have suffered since December 5, 2023.

Despite the loss, Foundation Christian Academy still got an impressive performance from Steffi Chilton, who posted 24 points. The dominant performance gave Chilton a new career-high in points. The team also got some help courtesy of Noelle Hagan, who put up six points.

Foundation Christian Academy's defeat was their fifth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 2-14. As for Universal Academy, their win was their first in the district, bumping their district record up to 1-2 and their overall record up to 3-8.

Foundation Christian Academy wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 31-28 loss against Cambridge Christian on the 28th. As for Universal Academy, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 21-20 victory against All Saints' Academy on the 27th.
