After flying high against Twin Valley South on Tuesday, Franklin Monroe came back down to earth. The Jets fell 3-1 to the Newton Local Indians on Friday. The matchup was a 1-1 toss-up at halftime, but Franklin Monroe couldn't quite close it out.

Franklin Monroe's defeat dropped their record down to 2-4-1. As for Newton Local, their win bumped their record up to 2-7-2.

Coming up, Franklin Monroe will host Yellow Springs at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Newton Local, they will venture away from home to face off against Preble Shawnee at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Newton Local will be up against Preble Shawnee's rather soft defense (which has allowed 3.1 goals per game), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
