Baseball Game Preview: South Davidson Wildcats vs. East Davidson Golden Eagles

South Davidson hasn't had much luck against East Davidson recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The Wildcats are taking a road trip to face off against the Golden Eagles at 6:00 p.m. South Davidson has given up an average of 12.2 runs per game this season, but Tuesday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

South Davidson's last matchup with Thomasville could've gone either way, but unfortunately the same can't be said for the pair's matchup on Friday. The Wildcats lost 14-0 to the Bulldogs. The Wildcats' loss continues a trend for the team, making it four in a row.

Meanwhile, East Davidson entered their tilt with Salisbury on Friday with four consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with five. They came within a single run of losing the streak, but they secured a 2-1 W against the Hornets. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Golden Eagles have posted since May 1, 2024.

East Davidson's victory bumped their record up to 8-6. As for South Davidson, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-9.

South Davidson might still be hurting after the 10-0 loss they got from East Davidson in their previous matchup back in April of 2024. Can the Wildcats avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
