Baseball Recap: Westwood Extends Winning Streak to Three

Westwood waltzed into their contest on Monday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They put the hurt on the Indian Hills Braves with a sharp 8-1 win. Considering the Cardinals have won three matches by more than six runs this season, Monday's blowout was nothing new.

Joe Cerritelli spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered five earned runs on eight hits and racked up six Ks.

On the hitting side, Jack Walsh was incredible, scoring a run while going 4-for-4. Gabe Arcieri also deserves some recognition as he hit his first triple of the season.

Westwood now has a winning record of 4-3. As for Indian Hills, their loss ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 6-4.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Westwood beat the Braves by a score of 8-1 on Tuesday.
