Football Game Preview: Lake Nona Lions vs. Windermere Wolverines

The Lake Nona Lions will take on the Windermere Wolverines at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Lake Nona hasn't scored more than six points for five games straight, a trend the team is eager to reverse.

Lake Nona's offense might be in the hot seat on Tuesday considering what happened against Olympia on Thursday. They took an 18-0 bruising from the Titans. While losing is never fun, the Lions can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Florida football rankings (they are ranked 282nd, while the Titans are ranked 96th).

Meanwhile, Windermere also failed to score in their most recent game. They lost 26-0 to Celebration on Friday. The loss continues a trend for the Wolverines in their meetings with the Storm: they've now lost three in a row.

Lake Nona's defeat dropped their record down to 3-9. As for Windermere, their loss dropped their record down to 6-5.

Lake Nona beat Windermere 13-6 when the teams last played back in April of 2021. Will the Lions repeat their success, or do the Wolverines have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
