Football Recap: Westside Wolverines vs. Leon Lions
Westside was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss. They lost 45-21 to the Leon Lions.
Kemp Peoples had an outrageously good game for Leon as he threw for 275 yards and four touchdowns while completing 87.5% of his passes, and also rushed for 36 yards. That's the most rushing yards Peoples has posted since back in November of 2023. A healthy portion of Peoples' aerial production (118 yards to be exact) went to Jaylan Lurry, who also brought in a receiving touchdown.
Westside's defeat dropped their record down to 1-9. As for Leon, they moved to 1-9 with that victory, which also ended their nine-game losing streak.
As of now, neither Westside nor Leon have any future games scheduled.
