Football Recap: Holy Name Gets the Win

Holy Name proved they can win big last Friday (they won by 20) and on Saturday they proved they can win the close ones too. In a tight match that could have gone either way, they made off with a 14-13 win over the Madison Blue Streaks. For the Green Wave, this counts as revenge for the 24-7 victory the Blue Streaks walked away with the last time they faced one another back in September of 2024.

Holy Name's win ended a four-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 3-1. As for Madison, their loss dropped their record down to 2-2.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Holy Name will welcome Cleveland Central Catholic at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The two teams have allowed few points on average (the Green Wave 13.2, the Ironmen 13.2) so any points scored will be well earned. As for Madison, they will be playing at home against Hawken at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Blue Streaks will need to watch out since the Hawks have now posted at least 31 points every time they've taken the field this season.
