Football Recap: Boothbay Comes Up Short

Boothbay lost a heartbreaker to Sacopee Valley when they met back in October of 2023, and they left with a heavy heart again on Friday. The Seahawks took a 34-30 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Hawks. The Seahawks haven't had much luck with the Hawks recently, as the team has come up short the last four times they've met.

Sacopee Valley got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Maxwell Tripp out in front who rushed for 150 yards and one score, and also picked up 67 receiving yards. Another receiver making a difference was Kenny Williams, who gained 101 total yards and two touchdowns.

Boothbay's loss dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Sacopee Valley, they now have a winning record of 2-1.

Looking ahead, Boothbay will be playing in front of their home fans against Traip at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Sacopee Valley, they will venture away from home to take on Cape Elizabeth at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
