Baseball Recap: Eno River Academy Takes a Loss

Eno River Academy managed to slip by River Mill the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Bobcats came up short against the Jaguars on Thursday, falling 16-5. The Bobcats were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Jaguars earlier this season, when they won 11-9.

Kai Norcross was cooking despite his team's loss, going a perfect 2-for-2 with two runs, one double, and one RBI. He has become a key player for Eno River Academy: the team is 3-1 when he posts at least two runs, but 2-7 otherwise. Orren Sievert was another key player, going 2-for-3 with one stolen base and one run.

Eno River Academy has been struggling recently as they've lost eight of their last nine games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-8 record this season. As for River Mill, their record now sits at 9-6.

Eno River Academy has already played their next match, a 19-2 loss against Voyager Academy on the 22nd. River Mill does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
