Volleyball Recap: Grosse Pointe North Makes It Five in a Row at Home

Grosse Pointe North not only won on Thursday, but they posted their biggest win since September 18th (when they won 3-0). They put the hurt on the Utica Ford Falcons with a sharp 3-0 win. This was a revenge game for the Norsemen: when they faced off against the Falcons back in September, they had to take a 3-0 loss.

Grosse Pointe North's got stronger as the match went on, holding Utica Ford to fewer and fewer points set over set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-21, 25-19, 25-14.

Rose Parker paced Grosse Pointe North's offense, picking up 11 kills. Parker got some help from Madison Jewel and her 36 assists. Kathryn Schaden controlled things from the service line, finishing with three aces.

Grosse Pointe North pushed their record up to 11-11 with the victory, which was their fifth straight at home. As for Utica Ford, they moved to 13-11-2 with that defeat, which also ended their three-match winning streak.
