Baseball Recap: Westminster Christian's Luck Changes for the Better on Saturday

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Faith Lutheran, Westminster Christian was happy to have turned things around on Saturday. They walked away with an 8-3 victory over the Sports Leadership & Management Bulls. The win was some much needed relief for the Warriors as it spelled an end to their three-game losing streak.

Canyon Henry looked comfortable as he tossed three innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Fabian Pineiro, who scored two runs and stole two bases while getting on base in all five of his plate appearances. Those two runs gave him a new career-high. Eric Eikenberg was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing two bases while going 3-for-4.

As for Sports Leadership & Management, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Chaparral at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Chaparral has struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 13.25 runs per game on average), something Sports Leadership & Management will no doubt try to take advantage of.
