Volleyball Recap: Cary Christian Takes a Loss

If Cary Christian was feeling good fresh off their 3-0 takedown of Trinity of Durham and Chapel Hill on Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Knights lost 3-0 to the GRACE Christian Eagles on Thursday. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Eagles this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-0 back in September.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-20, 25-15, 25-20.

GRACE Christian was led to victory by Izzy West and Caralyn Woodworth. West had ten digs and four aces, while Woodworth had 19 digs and one assist. Woodworth has been hot recently, having posted ten or more digs the last four times she's played.

Cary Christian has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 8-10 record this season. As for GRACE Christian, they have been performing well recently as they've won seven of their last nine contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-12 record this season.

Cary Christian does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for GRACE Christian, they will venture away from home to face off against Trinity of Durham and Chapel Hill at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
