Grandview had already won seven in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 26.3 points) and they went ahead and made it eight on Friday. They walked away with a 55-45 victory over the Smithville Warriors. Given the Bulldogs' advantage in MaxPreps' Missouri basketball rankings (they are ranked 70th, while the Warriors are ranked 348th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Grandview's win was their sixth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 16-10. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 65.0 points over those games. As for Smithville, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-17.
