Basketball Recap: Columbus International Takes a Loss

Columbus International was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their 28th straight loss dating back to last season. They took a blow against the Horizon Science Academy Hawks , falling 59-23. The Lions were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Hawks apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in November of 2021.

Mouhamadu Seck was his usual excellent self, going 6 of 14 on his way to 19 points and five rebounds for Horizon Science Academy. Another player making a difference was Kenneth Boanu, who posted ten points.

Columbus International's loss dropped their record down to 0-14. As for Horizon Science Academy, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 9-6.

Columbus International has already played their next game, a 62-23 defeat against Linden-McKinley on the 27th. As for Horizon Science Academy, they will square off against Whetstone at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
