Baseball Recap: Oswayo Valley Green Wave vs. Youngsville Eagles
Oswayo Valley took a 15-run defeat the last time they faced off against Youngsville, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Green Wave had just enough and edged out the Eagles 8-7 on Friday. This was payback for the Green Wave, who suffered a 15-0 loss the last time these two teams met.
Drayton Norton was a major factor no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, striking out eight batters over 5.1 innings while giving up just two earned runs off three hits. Norton was also big at the plate, scoring a run and stealing a base while getting on base in two of his four plate appearances.
