Baseball Recap: Mullins Comes Up Short

Mullins was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their ninth straight loss dating back to last season. They might be feeling deja-vu: they lost 15-0 to the Marion Swamp Foxes, which was the same score (and result) they got the week prior. The Auctioneers were not able to make up for their defeat to the Swamp Foxes from their previous meeting back in April of 2024.

Mullins saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Andre Littlejohn, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with one stolen base. That hit marked the first that Littlejohn got this season.

Mullins' loss dropped their record down to 0-6. As for Marion, they now have a winning record of 4-3.

Looking ahead, Mullins will face off against Loris at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Mullins has given up an average of 14.8 runs per game this season, so hopefully the team got some pitching drills in this week. As for Marion, they will square off against Mullins at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
