Baseball Game Preview: Morgan Park Mustangs vs. Jones Eagles

For the second straight game, Morgan Park will face off against Jones. The Mustangs will be playing at home against the Eagles at 4:30 p.m. on Friday.

Morgan Park is probably headed into the matchup with a chip on their shoulder considering Jones just ended the team's four-game winning streak on Wednesday. They came up short against the Eagles, falling 13-5. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the Mustangs have suffered against the Eagles since April 6, 2022.

For Jones' part, they got a massive performance out of John Clifford, who went 1-for-3 with three RBI, two runs, and one stolen base. Those two runs gave Clifford a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Jack Hiltz, who went 3-for-5 with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI.

Morgan Park's defeat was their first in the conference, dropping their conference record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 6-3-2. As for Jones, they now have a winning record of 8-7.
