Baseball Game Preview: Lynn Camp Wildcats vs. Knox Central Panthers

Lynn Camp hasn't had much luck against Knox Central recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The Wildcats will be playing in front of their home fans against the Panthers at 5:30 p.m. Lynn Camp knows how to get runs on the board -- the squad has finished with ten runs or more in their past four games -- so hopefully Knox Central likes a good challenge.

Lynn Camp will bounce into Tuesday's contest after beating Barbourville, who they had gone 0-9 against in their nine prior meetings. The Wildcats put the hurt on the Tigers with a sharp 19-9 win on Tuesday. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last five times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.

Pulaski County hit Knox Central with a five-run third inning on Monday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Panthers fell 7-3 to the Maroons. The defeat continues a trend for the Panthers in their meetings with the Maroons: they've now lost three in a row.

Easton Ramsey made the most of his time in the batter's box despite the final result and went 1-for-2 with two RBI and one double. Another player making a difference was Matthew Powenski, who went 1-for-2 with one run and one RBI.

Knox Central's loss dropped their record down to 7-6. As for Lynn Camp, their victory bumped their record up to 6-3.
