Mater Dei had already won eight in a row and they went ahead and made it nine on Saturday. They walked away with a 2-0 win over the St. Teresa Bulldogs. That's more bragging rights for the Knights, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Adrienne Rakers paced Mater Dei's offense, picking up six kills. Rakers got some help from Addison Nenninger and her 18 assists. Ava Lampe controlled things from the service line, finishing with two aces.

Mater Dei's victory bumped their record up to 29-6. As for St. Teresa, they are on a nine-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-23.

Mater Dei wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 2-0 win against Mt. Vernon on the 28th. As for St. Teresa, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 2-0 defeat against Athens on the 27th.
