            Baseball Recap: Spring Grove Rockets vs. Greencastle-Antrim Blue Devils        
        
		
        
        
            Spring Grove had lost three straight at home, but  on Thursday they dropped their record down to 8-12-1 to make it four. They came up short against  the Greencastle-Antrim Blue Devils, falling  17-4. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Rockets of the  6-4 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture  back in April of 2016.
 Spring Grove saw seven different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was  Tanner Hoffman, who  got on base  in three of his four plate appearances with two  runs.
As for Greencastle-Antrim, they now  have a winning record of 9-8. With that  victory, they brought their scoring average up to 6.1  runs per game.
 On Greencastle-Antrim's side, they let  Avery Horst and  Landon Myers run wild. Horst  went 2-for-4 with one  home run, three  runs,  and four  RBI, while  Myers  went a perfect 3-for-3 with five  RBI, one  run,  and one  double. Those  five  RBI gave  Myers a new career-high. Another player making a difference was  JD Flynn, who  got on base  in three of his four plate appearances with three  runs.
 Spring Grove does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Greencastle-Antrim, they will look to defend their home field  on Monday against Big Spring  at 4:15  p.m.
