Braxton Whittley has led Cherryvale in runs on the season and he led the team again on Thursday. Whittley made a splash, going 2-for-3 with two stolen bases, three runs, and two RBI. Considering he played a big game the last time he faced off against Eureka on Thursday, the result shouldn't come as too huge a shock. Cherryvale is 3-1 when Whittley posts two or more runs, but 3-11 otherwise.

Looking ahead, Whittley and Cherryvale will venture away from home to take on Bluestem at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. The two teams are at an even 5-5 against one another since April of 2018, but likely not for long.
