Softball Recap: Acton-Boxborough Comes Up Short

Acton-Boxborough fell victim to Bedford and their airtight pitching crew on Wednesday. They took a 5-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Buccaneers. Having soared to a lofty 18 runs in the game before, the Revolution's shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

Acton-Boxborough's defeat dropped their record down to 7-4. As for Bedford, the win (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 7-1.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Acton-Boxborough will square off against Concord-Carlisle at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Bedford, they will face off against Cambridge Rindge & Latin at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Buccaneers are facing the Falcons at the right time seeing as the Falcons are stuck on an eight-game losing streak.
