Baseball Recap: Perkins Picks Up Eighth Consecutive Win

With a playoff win on the line, Perkins rose to the challenge on Friday. They blew past the Memorial Roughriders 6-0. The result was nothing new for the Pirates, who have now won 13 contests by six runs or more so far this season.

Memorial's batters probably weren't too happy with Kash Koch, who pitched a no hitter and racked up six Ks (he gave up three walks). Koch has been consistent: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in seven consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Talon Walton was incredible, going 3-for-4 with three RBI, two doubles, and one run. That's the most hits he has posted since back in April. The team also got some help courtesy of Bryce Davie, who went 2-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and one double.

The victory (which was Perkins' eighth in a row) raised their record to 21-5-1. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.0 runs over those games. As for Memorial, they moved to 17-9 with that defeat, which also ended their three-game winning streak.

As of now, neither Perkins nor the Roughriders have any future games scheduled.
