Basketball Recap: Nute Comes Up Short

Nute was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They fell 54-45 to the Franklin Tornadoes. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Rams this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 63-57 back in December of 2024.

Nute's loss dropped their record down to 2-8. As for Franklin, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 6-4.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Nute will venture away from home to face off against Pittsburg at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Franklin, they will challenge Concord Christian at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
