Baseball Recap: Maranatha Christian Takes a Loss

Maranatha Christian and Sage Creek squared off in some playoff action on Tuesday, but Maranatha Christian had to settle for second. They lost 12-6 to the Bobcats. The Eagles were not able to make up for their loss to the Bobcats from their previous meeting back in March of 2018.

Maranatha Christian saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Shane Piester, who went 2-for-4 with two runs, two RBI, and one double. Another was Beckett Galloway, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with one run.

Maranatha Christian has been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four contests. That lines up perfectly with their 7-21 record this season. As for Sage Creek, their win bumped their record up to 17-12.

Maranatha Christian does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Sage Creek, they will head out to face off against Torrey Pines at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
