A Running Rebel with a cause.

The cause for this future Running Rebel is to bring UNLV back to its glory days of 1989-91.

St. Frances Academy (Baltimore) 6-foot-8, 205 pound senior wing Dwayne Morgan has the talent to do so, and a ceiling as high as any other recruit in the class of 2014.

At the end of Morgan's junior season, March of 2013, UNLV received its first major signee from the 2014 class when Morgan chose the Running Rebels over local schools Georgetown and Maryland.

That commitment was followed by fellow 247sports Top 25 prospects Rashad Vaughn of Findlay Prep (Henderson, Nev.) and Goodluck Okonoboh of Wilbraham & Monson Academy (Mass.).

The No. 21 overall recruit on 247sports Top 247, Morgan went for 17.2 points, 8.3 rebounds and four blocks per game during the 2012-13 season.

As the saying goes, the apple does not fall far from the tree. Morgan got his first team All-Baltimore Catholic League skills from his 6-foot-6 mother, Tabitha Chambers, who played center for the Clemson Lady Tigers in the 90s.

Morgan and his Panthers teammates were 25-13 during the 2013-14 season, a little bit of a drop from their 34-8 record in 2012-13.
