Baseball Recap: Mobile Christian Takes a Loss

Mobile Christian lost against Faith Academy back in March of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. Mobile Christian took a 9-5 hit to the loss column at the hands of Faith Academy.

Bryce Rivers was cooking despite his team's loss, getting on base in all four of his plate appearances with one home run and two runs. Mobile Christian is 2-1 when Rivers posts one or more home runs, but 3-13 otherwise. Landen Douglass was another key player, going 1-for-4 with one home run and four RBI.

Mobile Christian has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost seven of their last eight games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-14 record this season. The victory (which was Faith Academy's seventh in a row) raised their record to 14-3.

While Mobile Christian had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 5:00 p.m. on Friday.
